Developing Men of Color (DMC): student organization

The goal of DMC is to equip men of color undergraduates with the means and resources needed to thrive at VCU. DMC engages its members in peer-to-peer and faculty mentorship, professional development opportunities, and most importantly, provides a space for  brotherhood. A critical aspect of the DMC student organization is a commitment to community service. This is achieved through consistent mentoring at nearby underserved public schools, volunteering in the local Richmond community, and participation in service events held by other student organizations and VCU departments. Through DMC’s efforts, minority men passionately work towards the same goals; academic success, professional development, and building community amongst minority students.
